For three weeks, we’ve got an incredible roster of comedians, artists, musicians and performers taking to venues, stages and iconic spots around postcode 2-0-2-6 because this is quite literally Bondi’s year. The cult-favourite, feel-good drawing club is back for another year! Body positive, inclusive and utterly uncompetitive, Gladdy Drawing Club combines life drawing and performance. Grab a pencil and get cosy in Bondi Pavilion Art Gallery, surrounded by the finalist artworks of the 2026 Waverley Art Prize.
This year’s lineup is stacked with Gladdy Drawing Club favourite models, finalists from the Waverley Art Prize and the return of the incredible Wendy Sharpe!

Welcome to Accordion by @amigoandamigo, a playful sensory public art experience that celebrates postcode 2-0-2-6 in the year 2026.
🌈 Six giant interconnected archways ablaze with vibrant colours, each inspired by the timeless accordion. Crafted from illuminated steel rings and adorned with vividly printed fabrics, these archways transform into dynamic formations beckoning all to walk through. At the base of each accordion lies an interactive pad; with each joyful leap, the artwork springs to life, weaving melodies that cascade through waves of light and colour along its towering form. ✨
Accordion extends beyond the festival period, so there’s plenty of time to bask in the light! 💛🧡❤️

3 July kicks off with our hilarious MC @the_thaliajoan, whose chaotic, relatable and “unhinged” stage presence sets the tone for back-to-back laughs from comedy icons @sambowdencomic, @laurenybonner, @daveawoodhead & @hingers.
Because one night of comedy is never enough, we’ve got @imaanfrankhadchiti taking us for a wickedly funny ride on 4 July. @samkissajukian, @patdohertycomedy & @charlbecwood promise an evening of outstanding stand-up that will leave you giggling all the way home. It’s double the fun and double the hilarity with this year’s Bondi Festival Comedy Gala hosts — Thalia-Joan & Imaan Hadchiti! 🤩
No stranger to chaos and affectionately dubbed “the queen of high-functioning unhinged”, @the_thaliajoan will take audiences on a chaotic journey through comedy on 3 July. Equal parts relatable and unpredictable, Thalia-Joan’s energetic storytelling and likeable madness have made her a crowd favourite.
Much-loved comedy veteran @imaanfrankhadchiti takes to the stage on 4 July, bringing with him 20 years’ experience in stand-up, television and film. With a long history of multiple sold-out shows, he joins Bondi Festival Comedy Gala to host the final night’s antics with his signature authenticity and distinctive storytelling style.

🎵🥁 Bondi Festival’s first weekend kicks off with Fifty Years of Deadly, a three-hour showcase of legendary and up-and-coming First Nations artists curated by @awesomeblack.studio
Grab your friends and family and spend the perfect afternoon in Bondi, jamming along to live music and DJs celebrating contemporary culture.
Headlining this free event are Gadigal-based psychedelic quartet @lemonisetheband, First Nations electro-soul trio @bowandarrowland and Australia’s longest-running all-Indigenous female group, @stiffgins.
Fifty Years of Deadly marks a milestone. NAIDOC Week 2026 commemorates 50 years of celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures.

Bondi Festival presents For The Best, a whimsical odyssey of the untold loss behind friendship breakups.
For centuries, we’ve turned romantic ruin into songs, scripts and silver-screen spectacles - but where are the stories mourning lost friendships? For The Best is built from real accounts by Bondi locals about broken down friendships, and the spaces they leave behind. These tales are woven together with live music by Luke Dux for a performance that’s captivating, messy and hilarious. 🎵
Created by Jeffrey Jay Fowler (@tlghtheatre) with Mark Storen and Georgia King (@whiskeyandboots), whose award-winning works include The One, Mama Stitch, and Fag/Stag.
