No visit to Bondi Beach is complete without a stroll along the vibrant Bondi Beach Sea Wall. Wander along the Bondi Promenade throughout Bondi Festival to check out the existing artworks, as well as a chance to see some live painting of new murals from some of Australia’s leading and emerging street artists, graffiti artists and muralists.

Since the late 1970s, the Sea Wall has been a vibrant canvas, showcasing street and contemporary art with powerful social and political messages. Over the years, this iconic spot has become a home for some of the world’s most renowned street artists. The Sea Wall has featured everything from painting and stencils to pop art, love notes, and touching memorial portraits.

Live Mural Painting!

Catch artist Cecilia Carraro as she paints her mural Freedom.

Where: Bondi Sea Wall, Promenade, Panel 34 – south from Bondi Pavilion.

When: Saturday 4 July 11am – 3pm

About The Artist:

Cecilia Carraro is an Argentine graphic designer, illustrator, and mural artist currently based in Australia. Inspired by femininity, freedom, and nature, her work combines vibrant colours, flowing movement, and organic compositions.

Through both personal and commissioned projects, she aims to bring warmth, joy, and a sense of connection to public and private spaces alike.

About The Artwork – Freedom

Freedom represents the feeling of joy, peace, and liberation I experience whenever I am near the beach and surrounded by nature. The artwork portrays a barefoot girl riding her skateboard through flowing plants and flowers, showing the freedom of being fully present in the natural world.

Through colours that can be found in a beach or sunset, this piece celebrates the energy that nature brings into our lives, as well as the sense of freedom found in simple moments. The work aims to evoke an emotional connection with both nature and the coastal spirit of Bondi.
