What is Bondi Festival?

Bondi Festival 2024 lands on the shores of Bondi Beach this winter. An arts festival for all ages, you’re invited to see live shows, play on our world-famous ice rink and look closer to find hidden festival gems.

Where does the Festival take place?

The Festival takes place at Bondi Beach, on Bidjigal and Gadigal land.

Do I need to buy tickets to attend events?

The Festival is made up of ticketed events and open-access sites. Due to limited capacity within our performance venues, we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance.

Is there a child price and an adult price for performances and shows?

No. There is one ticket price for performances and shows (as advertised on each individual event page).

Do you have a Babes in Arms policy?

Babes in Arms (under 2) are admitted free, so long as they remain in the arms of their adult throughout the show.

Do I need to buy a ticket to attend the show with my child? Or can I leave them at the theatre?

All children must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult at all Bondi Festival performances and workshops.

Who presents Bondi Festival?

Bondi Festival is presented by Waverley Council, in partnership with Bondi and Districts Chamber of Commerce.

How do I get to the Festival?

Bondi Festival is based primarily at the Bondi Pavilion, with the Festival precinct located around Campbell Parade and Queen Elizabeth Drive, Bondi Beach.

  • Bondi Beach (Bondi Pavilion, Bondi Festival Ice Rink, Bondi Vista Ferris Wheel) can be accessed by buses 333 & 380 via Circular Quay, Oxford Street, and Bondi Junction.
  • Badlambs Babershop, Native Drops and The Blue Hotel Bondi can be accessed by bus 379 via Bondi Junction, or a 10 minute walk from Bondi Pavilion.

Catching public transport is strongly recommended as residential parking in the area is strictly limited. For more information on transport, visit transportnsw.info. Click here for a map of South East Sydney bus routes.

Is there parking at the Festival?

Paid parking is available on Queen Elizabeth Drive, Park Drive South, Campbell Parade and in the surrounding area. There are no parking fees on Queen Elizabeth Drive and Park Drive South after 7pm.

Secure Parking available at 148 Curlewis St, Bondi Beach Parking Park Drive.

Bicycle parking is available on Campbell Parade.

Where can I go for assistance or information during the Festival?

Can I volunteer?

Yes! Our Festival survives off the love and collective efforts of our volunteers. Please register your interest here.

I am an artist. Can I present my work at the Festival?

Bondi Festival is fully programmed. Bondi Festival is curated by the Festival Directors via submissions. To find out when submissions open, follow us on facebook and instagram, and sign up to our e-news.

Will there be food at the Festival?

Bondi Festival takes place in the heart of Bondi Beach and is surrounded by lots of excellent cafes, restaurants and bars. Head to our Festival Finds page to check out specials on offer throughout the Festival dates.

I have a Food Truck or stall. Can I present at the Festival?

There will not be opportunities for Food Trucks or stalls to be part of the Festival.

I am a local business, how do I get involved in the Festival?

Waverley Council partners with the Bondi and Districts Chamber of Commerce to present Bondi Festival. Please get in touch with the Chamber board to find out how you can be involved.

How do I get involved as a partner or sponsor?

Why don’t you have printed tickets?

As part of our Covid-safety plan, Bondi Festival ticketing has gone digital. This is also in line with our commitment to sustainability.

Do you accept cash payments?

Only cashless payments are accepted at all Bondi Festival box offices and events.
