Put on your headphones, download the app and follow your mini-guides as they take you on a trek through their neighbourhood in North Bondi.

Remember to pack your headphones, your phone (or another portable device) and an appetite for exploration. This adventure has been created for you by kids from Galilee Catholic Primary School in collaboration with grown-up artists.

  • Ticket holders are to meet at the Galilee Catholic Primary School at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the event to sign in.
  • We think you’ll enjoy the walk more if you wear comfortable shoes and come light-handed, as you will be on the move.
  • Please come prepared for the weather: bring a hat, wear sunscreen, and pack an umbrella and/or raincoat, as the walk will go ahead rain or shine!
  • You’ll need a mobile device with internet connection (4G or 5G) and your best pair of headphones.
  • You’ll put your headphones on and when it’s go-time, the experience begins!

Meet the Creators:

Claudia Chidiac is a theatre maker, cultural worker and creative producer. For twenty years, she has worked with diverse communities creating intimate and large scale experiences. From 2010 – 2014 she was the Creative Producer of Performance and Music and Theatre Producer/Curator at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre (CPAC). She was responsible for creating and producing the award-winning Way Out West (WOW) Festival for Children. From 2005 – 2010 she was the Artistic Director and EO of PYT Fairfield, where she was responsible for directing, and producing the company’s artistic program and developing training opportunities for emerging artists in Western Sydney. www.claudiachidiac.com

Nick Wishart‘s main area of artistic practice is music, sound, video and multimedia by adapting and re-purposing existing and emerging domestic technologies and intuitive physical interfaces to create new audio/visual interfaces. Wishart combines his skills in electronics, interactive devices, audio-visual production and circuit bending to create interactive multi-media installations and circuit bent instruments that form the basis of the all toy band Toydeath. Wishart is also accomplished in the fields of Composition, Sound Design and Music Technology with over 20 years’ experience writing, playing and recording music for live theatre and moving image. http://nickwishart.com

Cayn Rosmarin is a visual arts educator with experience in both museum and school environments. She has taught in a number of schools including North Sydney Girls High School, Pymble Ladies College, Darlinghurst Public and Bronte Public. After completing her master studies Museum and Heritage at the University of Sydney in 2016. She transitioned into gallery and museum education. Her previous teaching roles have allowed her to have a strong knowledge of creativity learning frameworks and pedagogies. She strongly believes in creating accessible and engaging public spaces that ignite the public’s passion and excitement for art and learning. She is currently the Producer of Public Programs at Casula Powerhouse.

Nitin Vengurlekar is a writer and performer from Revesby who works across a range of contemporary performance practices. He has performed his nonsensical prose and poetry and full-length theatre works at various festivals and literary/alternative comedy events around Sydney including Late Night Library, Parramasala, Bondi Feast, Batch Festival, Griffin Up Late, and the Sydney Writers’ Festival. He has previously performed in and written material for Bankstown Art Centre’s large-scale community-based works “The Prophet: Remix” and “The Night Sky”. In 2018, he hosted audiences for “Right Here Right Now,” a multi-site project in the heart of Blacktown, presented by Urban Theatre Projects. He recently completed a PhD in Theatre and Film Studies at the University of New South Wales.
