“We’re so pleased to have teamed up with the Gujaga Foundation to host a Dharawal language workshop. This intimate event is a special chance to learn more about the history of the place upon we all gather today and is open to young and old.” – Phil Spencer, Festival Director

Learn stories, songs and dances in Dharawal language in this workshop led by the Gujaga Foundation.

The Dharawal Language Program has been leading language and culture activities in the La Perouse Aboriginal Community for over 15 years and is the only community based language reclamation program in the coastal Sydney area. The program worked with senior Dharawal women in the early to late 2000’s and has created language programs catering for early years learning, primary schools and adult learning.

The Gujaga Foundation is the peak organisation leading language, cultural and research activities within the La Perouse Aboriginal community.
